First Post of February

So maybe a month ago,
unwrittenkitten mentioned something called NaBloPoMo. Technically, it's supposed to be in November but since February is a short month and I've been wanting to post more, I thought I'd join my friend and give it a shot. Since we are being non-conformists and rebels, we get to make our own rules (posting in February, minimum 300 words) so if anyone wants to join us, jump in!
I suspect this will mostly consist of me subjecting anyone brave enough to follow along to all my random thoughts. Lucky you.
I guess the biggest news over the last month or so is that my grandmother fell and broke her hip. She's 87 and down to 97 lbs due to some health problems. She'd been in the hospital for a couple of days and then they transferred her to one of those convalescent care places. Her first night there, she fell twice, the first time giving herself a black eye, the second time breaking her hip. That was two weeks ago. She came through the surgery just fine and has been in rehab for a week and a half. She's even gained a couple of pounds. Longevity runs rampant with the women on my mom's side of the family. I'm sure the men would have said it's because they're too mean to die (they long outlived all the men) and that could be true. My great grandmother was 106 (we thought she was 103 until my aunt found her birth certificate) when she passed away and a couple of her sisters also made it over the century mark too.
Work has sucked out my sense of humor. I felt it going back in June and then *pop*! Out it went in July. Every now and again it makes an appearance and then it's gone again. I really need it back because it's really starting to piss me off. Just last month it took clever and witty with it and now all I'm left with is bitchy. Bitchy never leaves. She's like a fungus.
I bought a Droid recently. Can anyone recommend any good apps to download, free or not? How about for the iPod Touch? I need to be entertained when I have to wait. See that part about bitchy.
