I <3 snow!

We got our first snow! I didn't believe the weathermen because they always say it will snow, I get excited, and then nothing but maybe a dusting. But this has actual accumulation! It's a very heavy, very sloppy snow too. The kind you walk in and it turns to slush. The kind that's very easy to drive in but paralyzes our moisture paranoid drivers. The kind that weighs down the branches to my Willow tree so that it hits you in the face when you're carrying in groceries (hey, I had to get my hair cut and that always means a trip to Whole Foods). The kind that makes me crave Frito Chili Pie for dinner tonight. I don't remember the last time I was in this good of a mood! Oh, and every time it snows, I cannot get the song, "Let it Snow" out of my head.
Fun fact heard while driving in snow: it has snowed here on December 5th for five of the past seven years. It didn't snow on the 5th last year. It snowed on the 6th. Pretty interesting.

Frito Chili Pie is mostly an OK/TX thing that varies but for me it's chili over Fritoes and topped with onions and cheese. Some people put the Fritoes in a casserole dish and bake the whole thing but I never do. It makes the Fritoes too mushy.
