We took a late lunch at work yesterday. Planned to go for sushi but the place closed at 2:30 and we got there about ten minutes too late. So we went to Pauli Moto's over at Tyson's.

I've never been there before but LT went the day before so she could tell Smurf and me what to order. It was so freakin' good! We had sashimi and dumplings - these were small plates - shrimp tempura, Chilean Sea Bass - these were entrees that three of us split - kobe beef and shrimp on skewers - can't remember what this is called but there are only a couple of pieces per skewer so it's not as much food as you think. Oh, I almost forgot. We also got the most mouth-watering Spicy Tuna Roll ever. I could inhale Spicy Tuna Rolls. The waiter, who was awesome, brought us a plate of complimentary vegetable skewers. This has asparagus, mushroom and yams. The yams were to die for. Really. Smurf is a yam fiend so she ordered two more skewers. I know this sounds like more food than three people could possibly consume but it really wasn't. The entrees weren't massive and in some cases we each got a bite or half a bite of the small plates or the skewers. Plus, they pace the meal nicely. For dessert we split banana eggrolls with Jack Daniels chocolate ice cream. Again, it was amazing! This place has now become my new favorite restaurant ever. Makes PF Changs look like China Express.

Got back to work around 4pm and then left at 6:30 for my hot stone massage. I get regular full body massages but I've never had a hot stone massage. This should be on every woman's wish list. Damn, it was good! Smurf got it for me for Christmas. Did I mention that Smurf is also my boss? Well, she is. And she's the best boss ever! She's also a great friend who doesn't get but is very tolerant of my fangirl crush on Brass, writing fan fic (it helps that her daughter is now into all this) and my trips to see the Baseharts. Heck, she was even going to go to Seattle with me to see Paul Guilfoyle play hockey. Unfortunately, it's the same weekend as our trip to Miami. She's very cool.

Back to the massage. Very awesome and relaxing but also kind of sad because this was the last day of my favorite therapist. She's going to take a break for a while. There are a couple of others I can go to at the same place but I really liked her. Still, on the upside, she and I have gotten to be great friends so now that we don't have that business relationship, we can do stuff. Cool.

On a totally suckfest note, my sister called and the house we were supposed to have on the beach in Islamorada is full of fleas (allegedly--she thinks the agent might have double booked it). They offered us two other choices one that looks like the Brady Bunch might have lived there once and the other that's only 3 bdrms. We need four bdrms. My other sister and I, being the single girls, would have to share a room and that's not very appealing to either of us. But it's a nice house with a heated pool. Neither house is on the beach though. Near the water, yes, but it's not the same. I'm not sure what we'll do. I sent my sister a few other properties that I found. If she can't get the agent to find something more suitable (hey, we signed up for a 4 bdrm ON THE BEACH!) then we might have to look elsewhere. Maybe next time we should just do an all inclusive trip to Hawaii. Works for me.
