The Cowboys just pulled off the most amazing win. Not the most amazing win ever (they've stopped my heart a couple of dozen times over the last almost 40 years) but definitely a top 10. Romo had something like a hundred interceptions in the first half and still the Cowboys won with two 53 yard field goals in the final 2 seconds. Note to Dick Juron: FU. Your team still lost.

I used to work with this guy, Ron (can't remember his last name but he had chives growing out of the top of his nose), who worked part time with the Redskins. Ron used to tell me that good teams always find a way to win. Even when their QB does everything he can to give the game away. Ron also said that defenses win games and tonight that couldn't be more true. Buffalo scored 24 points. Their offense scored 3. Um, yeah.

Next week it's New England at Dallas. This one should be good.

SF could turn it around and make the playoffs.

And Joe Montana could lose 20 years and be our QB again. The problem with the '9ers is the folks who own them. Eddie D has a huge laundry list of faults, but the man knew how to run a football team: hire GMs and coaches who were fiercely loyal to him and the team, and keep his hands out of its day to day operations. Now, his sister's husband owns them and they won't sell the team because they want to give it to their son as a gift. Not to mention we play in the worst venue in pro sports. Makes me wish Jerry Jones owned us.

Football, Bah! Baseball is still playing and while I don't watch it on a regular basis the Indians just beat the Yankees 3 games to 1 and go on to the next final series.

GO TRIBE!

Oh, and since she's such a huge Yankees fan, I expect badkarma_one is not happy today.

Oh Yeah... I forgot about that. When they aren't playing Cleveland, I'm probably a closet Yankee's fan but that goes back 30+ years ago to memories of an 80+ year old great great aunt who used to sit in her rocker in front of the TV yelling and cheering for the Yankee's.

I watched the first half before switching to the Yankees game. I wanted the Yanks to win if only to tire out the Indians for the Sox this weekend. But yeah, the Bills' defense was pretty good and I was really surprised the Cowboys pulled it off. So 5-0, not a bad start, I have to admit.

I need more sporting icons. One little Red Sox one just won't do.

That was a great game last night. The Cowboys kicker has ice in his veins. At least the 49ers have won the Super Bowl and have had great seasons. Try being a Lions fan. Now, it really takes a strong will to stay loyal to them.
Plus, I have to listen to the Packer fans always claiming that they are the best. But, I love my Lions and I love football.

I was all smiles last night when Cleveland beat the Yanks. I just about wore out the remote, flipping from the Cowboys, to the baseball game, and watching Dancing with the Stars. I know, I'm a dweeb. I like Boston, but I might have to cheer for the Tribe, just because they haven't been there in a very long time.
