Brass A La Cart

I liked this one and yes, I even liked Grissom and Sara at the end. Well, at least while they were in the car. Grissom really should have kissed her. Sara looked really, really sad--like she's got this secret that will be revealed a few episodes from now--when she was watching everyone. But Grissom in the go-cart really was cute. Oh, and not cool to recycle the Ichabod quote from "Evaluation Day".
Best line of the night did not come from Brass for once. It came when Nick said to Grissom, "Come on Ricky Bobby". I'm still laughing at that one.
I thought Warrick seemed to be flirty with Catherine but I didn't get the return flirty vibe from her. She really had the opportunity when he took off the goggles and was standing right in front of her but her whole look was sort of meh.
Oh, oh, my stepmother just called...to talk about CSI! She's totally GSR and wanted to know what I knew about Sara. She also thought she looked sad and wondered if something was going to happen to her. We chatted about the whole episode and when the subject of Warrick and Catherine came up, she said, "oh, she's so over him." This from your basic average viewer. I told her Catherine needs to hook up with Brass and she actually agreed. I laughed.
Okay, that's enough about everyone else. Now on to the really important stuff: Brass! He was in this episode quite a lot and my most favorite scene (there were many) was one in which he did nothing but lean against a large pillar. Seriously hot, people! I also loved that we got some Brass canon: he was in Vietnam. I knew he was based on what he already alluded to back in "Room Service" but he never said it outright. This time he did.
Brass moment that made me LOL: he turns out all the lights in the restaurant and then Catherine asks if he just left, which apparently he did, leaving all of them in the dark.
Brass is at his best when he gets to interview a large group of strange and stupid people. And him with the two Huxley Kitties (changed from Honeys) was great. When the blind waiter asked Brass what that one girl looked like, I liked the way Brass answered. He wasn't snarky just kind of sweet actually.
Would have liked to have seen Brass in a go-cart. Maybe he was and I missed him? Oh, and the new detective? Talk about dull! I'd much rather have seen Sofia.
Which brings me to why Brass wasn't at the go-cart place. Because he and Sofia were sitting in the dark, feeding each other honeyed figs.

And you'll be pleased to know that Bri said the same thing about Cath when the lights came on and Warrick was right up against her.
I am pleased, especially that two unbiased people saw it the same way I did. I thought Warrick was all into it but Cath didn't seem to share his enthusiasm right from the start. Even her convo about divorce was just...conversation.
