More Birthday Wishes

HAPPY 1-DAY LATE BIRTHDAY, NANCY!

Yesterday was my good friend Nancy's birthday and stupid me forgot to send her lots of happy birthday wishes. Nancy and I were secretly separated at birth, which was pretty amazing since she's a little older than me...and born in a different month on a different day. But seriously, we're twins. Nancy is also a huge Harry/VTTBOTS fan who secretly wishes some of us would write more Harry/VTTBOTS fics. Um, yeah, how about those Lions?

On the upside, she's also a big Brass fan and gives really awesome reviews for all my fics, including the Harry ones--even though you know, she wants more Harry fics.

Nancy, I hope you had a great birthday and in your honor, I'm going to have ice cream. Yay!

Check out Uncharted Waters for a plethora of Voyage fics, including mine. I write mostly all Admiral Nelson but there's at least a couple of Harry and Lee (gen, not slash) fics. Here's a link to the site and the author's list. I write under Debbie H but I highly recommend everything by Kathleen Lehew (read Contents Under Pressure, my pick for best Voyage fic ever).

Also, I have to pimp the series Kathleen and I co-wrote because Kathleen is an amazing writer and makes me look good. Start with Chicxulub, then An Irregular Encounter, A Dish Best Served Cold, Path of Thorns and then finish with The Place of Fear and Awe.

I really wish I could because I have several WIP's I'd love to finish one day. However it appears I have a one-man muse and right now, that man is Jim Brass. Plus, Brass/CSI is a whole lot easier (and kinda more fun) to write than Harry/Voyage.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I spent the day canning antipasto. Doesn't that sound exciting? My birthday present is coming this weekend. My brother and I are going to the Michigan/Norte Dame game. We won't get into the quality of football that we will see at that game, but the band will be good. On Sunday, we are going to the Lion's/Viking game. Hubby has chosen to stay home because he knows what my brother and I can be like during football games. My nephew is going, too, and he is as bad as his father. Hope we don't end up in jail.

I am quietly waiting for a Harry fic, that might arrive some day. Sigh!!! In the meantime, I'll keep reading Brass stories. You know I love them.

And, because we are sisters, separated at birth, I also celebrated my birthday with one big bowl of Mackinaw Island Fudge ice cream. It's to die for.

I was thinking you were a Michigan fan and was going to send my condolences but couldn't remember if that was right. So, my condolences. I hope they do better against Notre Dame. But I was very excited to see the Lions kick some Raider butt. I picked Detroit in the pool so I'll be cheering your team on.

I keep thinking about writing Harry so I guess that's a good thing, right? But I'm glad you're also a Brass fan. I don't feel quite as bad...

I saw a piece on The Early Show about Mackinaw Island and now I want to go there. It looks so beautiful and yes, they talked about the fudge. I'm having Turkey Hill Peaches and Cream. It's yummy!
