bunchofgrapes: (Paul G - sexy beast)

I haven't posted random stuff in a while so here's a bunch of random stuff.

I went to bed last night knowing I'd have a tension migraine today. And of course, I woke up with a tension migraine. It's weird how it starts and then completely interrupts your sleep. It's not nearly as bad as it used to be. I had a cyst at the base of my neck that I had removed almost a year ago. That greatly reduced the severity of the migraine. Now they're manageable and sometimes I can do Downward Facing Dog and actually make it go away. It really sucks to have a headache today too. It's a beautiful day and the shrubs in my yard are in dire need of a good trim plus, I really need to get to the garden center.

Electronic/electrical things currently hate me.

My newest TV, which is under warranty, has a freaky 3" line going from top to bottom. In a way, I kind of hope they'll replace it because I haven't been completely happy with it. The repair guy was supposed to call me back on Thursday to tell me what was going on but I had to call him today and he said it was still under manufacture warranty so he had to call them. But he hasn't called them and when I spoke to him, he sounded like it wasn't a big deal to him. I called Best Buy today to complain because this guy is a sub to Best Buy and I'm not feeling any love. He's got his own business and he's "very busy" so I'm thinking he doesn't really have much invested in Best Buy or Best Buy's customer's interests. And that pisses me off. So lesson learned here? Pray your new TV either has a problem within the first 30 days or after the 1 year manufacture warranty has expired so you can deal with Best Buy instead of some stupid sub who doesn't give a crap. To add to the TV issues, all during CSI, the cable kept cutting in and out. I think it was an HD thing because it only seemed to be on the HD channels and it wasn't limited to CBS. It was also doing it when I watched Grey's off the DVR. Pissed me off because I missed some of Brass's very brief lines.

Then I found how my GE dishwasher has been recalled and I'm not supposed to use it because it could suddenly burst into flames. Apparently, this recall has been out there for a while and if I hadn't just happened to be home on Wednesday (waiting for TV repairman), I'd have never known. But now that I do know, I figure I'd better get it fixed.

And then there's this problem with being able to access my wireless network with my work computer. I can access it when I directly connected to the router and it can find my wireless network but it can't connect wirelessly. Very pissed about this one. Now I'm just waiting for the next thing to go wrong.

The momma cat moved her kittens. They were born in my back yard while I was in Vegas and she kept them around here for a week and then decided she needed a place where it was a bit quieter. The kittens are about 3 weeks old now and can start being weaned. I'd really like to get them away from her because if they stay, they'll be feral like she is. There are four kittens and I have people willing to take all of them if I can just find them. I saw momma cat go by my front window this morning so yeah, I followed her and yeah, I found where she's got them. The problem is they are in the back yard of one of the neighbors and they are under the deck. Not an easy place to get them.

Was anyone happy with CSI this season? Seriously? I know me and my Brass pals were ticked off at the lack of Brass continuity and the lack of Brass in general in a lot of the episodes. I won't even mention the number of his lines that either got cut or given to someone else. Sara fans are ticked because okay, GSR is now canon but where was she half the time? And now her future is up in the air. Warrick fans, well, are there any left? He was barely around. Nick was there but he didn't really do much. Greg got a story arc, which pissed off the Brass fans even more, but then he disappeared too. Grissom was gone for a few episodes and not around in few more. Then he was an asshat to a great many. Honestly, if it weren't for my immense love of Paul Guilfoyle, I'd say screw CSI. Then again, fandom is my only escapist fun (I'm finding this is a really good thing when the job is chocked full of stress) and I really do love PG. Once again I will start my optimism for S8.

On a positive note, I'm nearly done with my challenge fic from oh, two months ago. Yeah, it's a little late. It's Brass/Sofia and it involves hockey. I sort of need to finish it because I haven't been able to write since February and sometimes finishing a fic is the inspiration I need to get going again.

One last thing. I read over on the PG IMDB message board that someone saw PG at a motorcycle blessing and that PG has a motorcycle and was willing to go down to the Cape and join in an organized ride. I'm so not surprised PG has a motorcycle but how cool is that! He plays hockey and rides a motorcycle. I so want to go drinking with him.

Sorry to hear about your migraines....I have serious stress/tension headaches sometimes and they are bad enough...you need something that will distract you from the pain....a weekend with Paul G might do the trick!!

Here in the UK I haven't seen all of season 7 and only just seen season 1 on DVD.Its fun to watch the first episodes..one thing is noticeable is that there is much more energy and humour in the first few seasons especially from Billy P....I wonder whether CSI is now drawing to a close in season 8?? Or maybe there might be a different format?? 161 episodes must take its toll on actors, writers etc etc...its like a normal job to these guys and they can get bored and tired and lose interest like the rest of us. Billy P is already barely in the show and I did read somewhere in a Paul G quote that he is looking forward to getting back to the theatre and films..for me that would be great.. I would fly to New York to see Paul G in theatre without hesitation!!!

Cool to read that Paul G has a motorcycle...Paul G in leather on a bike...now these are pictures I would LOVE to see!!!
