I remember when I first discovered PG and CSI back in November of 2004. I think I inhaled everything I could find. I went out and bought all four seasons (they were in S5 then), read all the Brass fic I could find, read the boards, you name it. It was so much fun!
The thing I noticed in the previous seasons (up to S5), was the relationship between Brass and Grissom and Brass and Catherine, especially, but Brass and the team in general. He hung out with them. You rarely see him in the lab any more and I don't remember the last time he was getting coffee in the break room or having lunch/dinner with the rest of the team. I think that's part of what's made me so unhappy with the way they've come to treat Brass. They went from making him part of the team to some sort of outsider that rarely gets included any more. Anyway, I don't care if Billy P leaves but I hope Paul sticks around for a few more seasons and takes over the show. He could do it. I'd love to see him do theatre too but I'm selfish. I want to see him in my living room on a regular basis. So if it's not CSI, maybe they'll give him his own spin-off. One where he can grow facial hair and ride a motorcycle.
