Last year around this time, Paul G started making the rounds on morning radio shows. It was great because he talked about hockey and Brass getting shot and how, if he didn't survive, he might pop up on ER. Well, he seems to be making the rounds again. I posted this over on the Jim Brass Fansite Forum but thought I'd repost it here for anyone who doesn't visit the Brass Forum (WHAT!? Why aren't you?).

The great thing is the interview actually lasts for a good 16 minutes and for once Paul talks about himself and of course, CSI. I lurve his voice, btw. It's so different from Brass. And he giggles.

I think out of any of the interviews I've seen/heard him do, that is the most different his voice has been from Brass. And at the beginning when he was talking a mile a minute I was like WTF until I realized he was multitasking.

Can I just say I loved the bit about Pacino? I so cannot wait for that boxed set of Local Stigmatic to come out.

Me too! That and the bit about taking George Eads to the hockey game and fans getting a 2 for 1.

I so can't wait either! I'm really, really hoping PG does at least some of the commentary for this. Btw, have you ever listened to George Eads' commentary on the episode, Poppin' Tags? He says some really great things about Paul. Now I need to go and listen to the commentary for ABRTI.

Me, too. Although everywhere I've looked for the set it only has Al Pacino as the commentary. But I imagine he'll be talking about PG quite a bit, which in some ways could be more interesting.

I haven't listened to the commentaries on Poppin Tags. Is it really good? And what's up with the commentary for ABRTI? PG hasn't done any commentaries yet, has he? I know it's probably just a 'Karen thing', but I'm kind of glad he hasn't. I like the fact that he's probably turned down the opportunity to do them. I would imagine that if GE is doing them then PG would have certainly had the chance. If that makes any sense at all.

You know, after I said that about PG doing the commentary, I realized that what I loved most about the Poppin Tags commentary is the fact that GE talked about PG. If PG did the commentary, he wouldn't talk about himself so it's better that others do the talking. So, no, it's not a "Karen thing". I totally get what you're saying.

I haven't listened to the commentary to ABRTI yet. I've sort of been saving it because I expect them to rave about PG's performance. One thing that always irritates me though is when they get a director doing the commentary and they go on and on about lighting or some other stupid technical thing that we viewers could really care less about.

I'm a CSI newbie..over here in the UK I only just discovered it a year ago and I am obsessively trying to catch up on all 7 seasons ( that's a LOT of episodes ) !!! Loved Paul G and George Eads from day one and for me I love the fact that GE and PG are great friends off screen as both are gorgeous....as I haven't yet seen Poppin Tags I wonder if there is any link anywhere either on this LJ or on the 'net for the transcript of what GE is saying about Paul...would love to read it!! Thanks...

Unfortunately, there aren't transcripts for the commentary--only for the actual episode. You'd have to buy the S6 DVD's to hear what GE is saying about Paul.

And how fun to be a newbie to the show! I was a newbie back in S5 (for CSI and PG) and practically inhaled everything I could get my hands on. The best part was discovering all the Brass fan fic. I have a list of Brass-centric fics/writers that I'd be glad to send to you, if you haven't found them all yet.
