Okay so today at work my friends and I planned our Vegas trip. We're going the 25th to the 28th of April and I'm in charge of finding a hotel that has a suite with 3 rooms, maybe a wet bar, and a view of the city. Don't really care what it costs. Well, sort of care a little. So, my flist, do any of you have any hotel recommendations that might meet the criteria?

Also, we want to go to Cirque du Soleil while we're there so if any of you can recommend one over the other, that would be great. I'm leaning towards Mystere or O but my stepmother said Ka was amazing.

Oh, and at least two of us are getting a tattoo.

When we were there in August we stayed at the Sahara. They have a 2 bedroom suite that is very nice. And their room prices are very reasonable. You may want to check with them.

I saw Mystere and it was wonderful, but if I had it to do over again, I'd go see O. No Cirque show is ordinary, but I think all of their shows have concept similarities...but on/in water is not something that can be replicated by a touring company. Whereas with Mystere or KA, while unique in theme, the structural could be seen in traveling shows (or in the shows at their other theatres around the world). Just my two cents.

It sounds like an exciting trip.

How are you doing otherwise?

The only Cirque show I've seen was O and it was fabulous. We had balcony seats, so you could see them diving into the water. Some of the floor seats are called wet seats because you can get splashed. I would love to see it again.

Yez, go see O. We couldn't get tickets last time we went, but have a had a fair few folks who have seen it highly recommend it for a lot of the same reasons [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] said.

And as for hotel? I'm kind of a snob when it comes to hotels. Yeah, you're hardly ever in the room, but come on, it's Vegas. I highly recommend The Venetian and Caesar's. Treasure Island is kind of dated at this point. Steer well clear of Monte Carlo. Haven't been to Wynn, but heard it's plush.

Never done the buffet at the Bellagio. My eyes are always soooo much bigger than my belly when it comes to those things. And then I have the guilt factor with all the waste....yeah, eating in Vegas with me is a barrel of laughs.

I totally missed this the first time around. Coooool. Are you getting one. What're you getting and where. I've been dying to get one for the last year and it's going to be my treat to myself this summer once the old figure returns. I'm think about a Chinese or Japanese symbol on the small of my back.

It's a snowflake.

That's awesome. I would have laughed too. Deffo go for the ankle, although it'll probably hurt more. I'm sure you'll find some way to dull the pain.

Yeah, Snowden wasn't on the list of names for the new one....I can't help but think of Lord or Mount every time I hear it. Plus it would have entailed a serious marketing campaign.

Go early for the buffet at the Bellagio because the line is super long. I didn't eat there, but we walked by and the line was humungous long.
