Just a Whole lot of Nothing

I always come into things late. I came into CSI during S5. I came into The Sopranos during S4 and only recently, I discovered Sex and the City. I've been getting all the DVD's through Netflix and just started the first part of Season Six. One comical moment was seeing Wallace Langham play this guy that Carrie went out with. For her it was a blow off date but for him, it was serious. Unfortunately, he had a stye that he had to point out to her and then to make matters worse, a pigeon kept landing on him. It was pretty funny. I don't think I've ever seen the guy in a serious role. Even as Hodges on CSI it's hard to take him serious.

Speaking of CSI, this latest turn of events is stirring up all kinds of fandom wank across the boards. Don't read it if you aren't spoiled.

Seriously, what does it matter if Kevin Federline is a guest star? He'll play himself (skanky punk guy) and he'll get punched out by Nick. BFD. My guess is TPTB picked him because he's a skanky punk and it will take little or no effort for him to convey that realistically.

What concerns me more is the fact that wimpy Greg will get beaten up and then supposedly kills a guy and has remorse all season long whereas Brass kills a guy and gets nothing. I'm not bitter. Much.



I think this lack of rain - we haven't had any measurable rain in a couple of months and everything's dead or dying - is getting to me. I may need to move to Seattle one day. Seriously, I can't stand it and it's making me really, really irritable. That and my wireless keyboard has some kind of stupidity going on.

ETA: I just realized that my 1 year anniversary on LJ was August 7th. Wow.

Or how about Brass gets shot and gets nothing all season long (yeah I'm a pessimist, so what?), but ugly greggo gets beaten up (this is first I've heard btw), kills a guy and we'll get to see pathetic (ala Nick angst) all freakin' season. I want more rolled up shirt sleeves, more open necks and more goddamned chest hair!!!@!!!!!!!
I would love to see PG do something else.

Oh yeah, and I can't wait for this summer to bloody well end. I'm irritated too. Seattle's a beautiful place.

I wouldn't mind seeing him do something else either as long as it's on TV every week. It pains me to think that I'd have to wait months and years to see him in something on the big screen (with probably less screen time than he sometimes gets on CSI) or even worse, he'd do theatre and I'd never get to see him. Sure, he'd probably be happy but I'm selfish; I want PG in my living room every single week--even if it's just as a subplot on a show where the writers continual ignore him.

What I'd really love to see is Brass retire from the PD and leave Vegas for either NYC or L.A. and Annie Kramer. In other words, PG would have his very own show.

The thing that has me really worried is this whole Grey's competition. The writers for CSI will have definitely taken it into account for the arcs coming up this season, and as Brass isn't top draw (because morons like supposedly pretty boys) I think he's going to see very little air time this season. Which may give him time for a big screen roll...wink wink.

However, I have a feeling that would suit PG fine. He's kind of admitted that he's in it for the money at the moment and who can blame him? So he still gets paid about $200k per ep, even if he's not in it as much, and he gets to spend much more time in NYC. I probably wouldn't be complaining either.

The thought of all the Greggo fan fic and fan talk after that episode makes me want to throw up! The fact that TPTB don't use PG's acting skills, which are better than anyone one else on the show, and then choose to showcase Greg for the entire season, explains why CSI never gets any Emmy nominations for best drama.
