My S7 Brass Wish List

bunchofgrapesOkay, so all over various sites I keep seeing the “wish list” for CSI’s S7. Since my wish list deals almost entirely with Brass, I’m posting it here because, well, I can.
1. Continuity from S6. I want to see Brass angst about getting shot and something about how he’s dealing with it. I’d also love to see him put in a situation that causes him to hesitate and maybe that puts someone else’s life in danger.
2. The return of Annie Kramer. She doesn’t have to become a series regular but I’d love to see her come to Vegas for a two-part episode. I’d also love to see Catherine or Sofia wonder just what Annie’s connection to Brass is.
3. More Brass/Catherine flirtiness. Seriously, in WtG was anyone more emotional about Brass than Catherine?
4. If all else fails, hook Brass up with Sofia. They did have a pretty good vibe going on and she was ready to open up a can of whoop ass on Ellie to protect her man.
5. More Ellie. I thought they really did a good job with her in WtG. No sappy, “oh, daddy, I’m so sorry, let's hold hands and sing Kumbaya” crap. Just a nice show of concern and then she’s gone. But there was a glimmer of hope and I’d like to see something done with that.
6. More shirtless Brass. Hey, it’s my wish list.
7. Someone from Brass’s past suddenly showing up in Vegas. Brass made a lot of enemies in New Jersey and Vegas is a popular place. I’m just saying…
8. I’d love to see something happen with Lindsey and have Brass step in to help. After all, Lindsey and Ellie appear to have been separated at birth.
9. Brass’s ex-wife Nancy. I’d love to see what this evil woman looks like. I’m picturing Lorraine Bracco.
10. No more Yo!Bling. I seriously don’t get the whole Catherine/Warrick vibe. Besides, if Warrick can’t get a handle on his marriage to Tina, how the hell can he ever get a handle on a relationship with Catherine?
So, did I leave anything out?

3. Agreed.
4. Think it was strange she wasn't at the end of WtG.
5. I'm not sure what the deal will be with Ellie. She still has a lot of aggro where he's concerned and while getting shot may open the door, it certainly won't fix it. I thought it was interesting they chose to have her clean, which would indicate a movement towards more positive things for her character. Carole Mendelsohn (sp) said summat about new characters, and I belong to the camp that feels these are family member characters as opposed to new techs/CSIs/detectives. Ellie would be the obvious choice for one of those characters as they've had her story arc going since S2. I see it as kind of akin to GSR, it's been there almost since the beginning of the show and it absolutely will have to be resolved (either in a good or bad way) before the program ends.
6. Highly doubtful. (You're *hilarious* btw). I have a strange theory about his chest hair...
7. That would make for an awesome storyline. Specially if it was Mike whatshisname...and that's whene Ellie finds out she's not his...fireworks.
8. It's gonna be interesting to see which path Lindsey's character takes. If there were any Cath/Brass stuff, it would be a natural story.
9. Short, bitchy and cutthroat. Although I am surprised that in a moment of spite she hasn't spilled the beans about Ellie's real father.
10. It seems to be the only way they can work Warrick into storylines. It's weird, apart from the gambling early on, he's the forgotten character.
Basically I want what you want.

Date: 2006-07-12 03:36 am (UTC)And WRT #1 on the wish list, while I do think you are correct, I also think we don't really know how Brass will react since he hasn't been shot before (that we know about, anyway). He could go through a personality change like Mark Greene did on ER, or get addicted to pain pills or alcohol like John Carter did, also on ER, or he could doubt himself and become very gunshy. Of course I realize I'm asking way too much of the writers but the whole point is, we won't really know until the episodes air and until then, I can be hopelessly optimistic.

Date: 2006-07-19 10:34 pm (UTC)I am getting so frustrated! We keep on having weather alerts EVERY Thursday when CSI is on. The weatherman takes over the tv and there goes CSI. That has happened now for the past month. It happens so often I am wondering if CSI is even on Thursday nights! I am about ready to try downloading them off the internet! (Not ITUNES, I want them totally on my pc)
