I think my new ship is Brass/DB. Seriously, these two have brought the "old guy" camaraderie that left with Grissom back to CSI.
This case reminded me at first of the serial butt stabber that was running around Fairfax County, VA for a bit. Except this guy's thing was hair and he escalated to murder. Butt stabber just left the country.
Brass after listening to Paula tell Sara about how someone cut her hair while she was watching a moving, runs his hand over his head and says, "I got nothing to worry about". Ah, Brass humor, how I've missed you.
At one point Brass says "that sick bastard" only it comes out "that sick behstehd". There's no hiding that Boston accent when Paul says bastard. By the way, according to a little Q&A he once did, that's his favorite curse word.
I love, love, love Brass and DB working together. Definitely hearkens back to the days of Brass and Grissom.
The cool sheriff who seemed so nice showed her pissy side tonight, telling Brass and DB that she wants the killer found because he's freaking out the voters of Las Vegas (not her actual words but what she meant). After her little snippy orders to them, Brass turns to DB and deadpans "I think she was looking at you when she said that." Classic. Did I mention I love the two of them?
There's a nice little throwback to Catherine when DB tells Sara that he saves the bandaids from his kids in the freezer. And then after a very bad ending for Paula that rattles both DB and Brass, DB calls Catherine.
This was a great episode with a single episode serial killer that I did not guess until close to the end. Lots of creepy, lots of my new ship, Brussels Sprout, lots of Sara for all you Sara fans.
