Now or Never
Feb. 25th, 2011 07:08 pmSo who's going to NYC next weekend to see Paul Guilfoyle read a short story? This girl!
A co-worker friend and I are taking the train up Friday, seeing Wicked and Driving Miss Daisy on Saturday and then Mary Poppins and PG at The Word Theatre on Sunday (tickets were just purchased). I'm trying not to get too excited but yeah, I'm doing a happy dance. I'm also freaking out just a bit.
I always wanted to see PG play hockey in Seattle but it always seems to sneak up on me and there's never a guarantee that he's going to show up (he missed last year) or if he does show up, he'll do the autograph session before the game (he missed this the last year he played). When I saw this I thought it was probably as close to having an opportunity fall in my lap as I'll ever get. I might never get another chance and if I passed it up, I'd regret it the rest of my life. It just happened to work out that my friend had been wanting to do a theatre trip to NYC and she could go next weekend. Since I'm dragging her along to see an actor she's not very familiar with, I bought her ticket but she does have her eye on Owiso Odero so this could be interesting. Either that or my fangirling will scare the crap out of her.
I have already warned her.

Date: 2011-02-27 05:47 pm (UTC)I remember reading about your actor-crush moment and that would absolutely happen to me. Luckily, my friend is an extrovert to my introvert so I fully expect her to push me forward. Plus, I tend to have more courage when I'm around an extrovert.

I am very excited for you and can't wait to hear all about it.
