Today's post is brought to you by the Olympics. Because really, is there anything else on TV to watch?

Alpine skier Didier Defago has a fabulous chin. Seriously, you could ski his chin. And he has a very cool first name.

Mary Carillo has very scary teeth. And it sounds like they are loose when she talks. And speaking of this can someone please tell me why we have to have all these "pieces"? There are games going on. Show them. While I love and adore polar bears, hell, I even give money to protect them, I don't get what they have to do with the Olympics. Yes, the Olympics are in Canada and polar bears are in Canada but the Olympics are in Canada too. And frankly, it's the only reason many of us are watching anything Jeff Zucker is involved with because Jeff Zucker is a douchebag. That's my rant for the day.

Men's hockey starts tomorrow. I cannot wait. I watched a little of the women's hockey and it just doesn't cut it. While some of these women have mad skills, it's too slow and they don't hit. Or at least they didn't in the two games I saw. And what's hockey without hitting? Figure skating.

Caydee Denney's make-up makes her look like a blonde Liza Minnelli. And the eyebrows? Seriously, WTF? Whoever does Amanda Evora's make-up got it right. No clown skating for her.

You know what I like about the Canadians? They know how to sing their national anthem. And they do it correctly. Not like the idiots here who have to shout out "O" or "red" at a Caps game. We get it. Once you went to an Orioles game and thought it was cool that they shout O for the Orioles. Or you rock the red so of course you have to emphasize the "rockets red glare". But it's the national anthem. Sing it with the respect it deserves. Ok, so I had another rant in me after all.

Unlike the Super Bowl, which seems to thrive on sophomoric humor, the Olympics tends to go for the sap factor. And because I love sap factor almost as much as sophomoric humor, I really love the Liberty Mutual commercial that features the song, "Half Acre" by Hem. It's not new but I'm glad they're running it again. I love the song and I love the pay it forward message. But what I like is that it's the person who observes the good deed who pays it forward.
