And there was squeeing
Jan. 15th, 2009 10:20 pmBut not for the reason you think.
tos_lover, don't peek. It's better to watch unspoiled.
My squee? Well, you'll see, you'll see...
I'm very happy that all my GSR friends got their happy ending. I liked it too, although I did marvel at how drenched in sweat Grissom was and how "just stepped out of the salon, complete with make-up" Sara looked. I'm guessing she knew he was coming. Still, it was very nice and I'm glad you all finally got a proper kiss.
Ok, back to the beginning. At first I was thinking they got a new sheriff but then a little later, Brass called him Burdick so he's the same sheriff, different guy playing him. And Brass looked a bit resigned when the sheriff shot him down and seemed to blame him that the killer killed again.
Just a odd observation: PG always looks very good in HD. Not everyone on the show does. I also love how the peach fuzz on the tops of his ears stands out in HD. And he has really sexy hands.
So Ecklie is the new Undersheriff. Interesting. I wonder if that will get Marc Vann more screen time.
Wife of suspect: "You always keep tabs on your wife?"
Brass: "Yeah, that's why I'm divorced."
Drug dealer starts to run. Brass, following the police cruiser in his bitchin' Dodge Charger, sees this and takes off to cut him off. Important note to fan fic writers: BRASS DOES NOT DRIVE A FREAKING FORD TAURUS! HE NEVER, EVER HAS! Sorry, that's a ginormous pet peeve. Brass cuts off the perp, who darts around car and into the street. And becomes road kill courtesy of LVPD. Brass's reaction was priceless. Long day, Jim?
It's so nice that after 9 seasons they are finally letting Brass do all the cop things like pursue suspects, instead of having the CSI's do it. Maybe that's because before it was always Nick and Warrick and Warrick's gone. I hope this continues but I probably just jinxed it.
Special note to PG though: when you're busting down doors and such, please, I beg of you, LOSE THE FREAKING TIE! Thank you.
Ok, the best part of this episode? The part that made me squee? Grissom walking through the corridors, doing that little Survivor memory walk, observing his former peeps in action. He looks over and there's Brass and Catherine. Sitting alone (Brass is looking at something on a laptop). Hanging out. It's BrassCat people! The new ship is on! See
mingsmommy, the signs are there.
ETA: I forgot to add how awesome it was that Brass got to free and comfort the woman, Maureen. Seriously, after 9 years I think they finally figured out what to do with Brass. I really hope they don't eff it up.
