Why Brass?

Someone has to love him. I’ve always loved the tough guy, the one who's maybe not the best looking but who has this quality that goes beyond looks. I also love flawed characters and Brass is about as flawed as they come. The biggest reason though is Paul G. He brings Brass to life and makes what could be a clichéd cop completely believable. He’s an incredible actor who often gets overlooked (by everyone but the critics) but I think that’s how he likes it.

Is there anything you could eat every day for the rest of your life and never get tired of it?

This is a tough one because there are several foods that I have attempted to eat every day with the thought that I’d never get tired of it but eventually, I do. However, I’ll say risotto with shrimp and tomatoes. If it weren’t such a pain to make, I could eat that every day. I’m sure my arteries would implode before I got tired of it.

If you could live anywhere, where would that be?

Santa Barbara, in one of the houses along Shoreline Drive across from Shoreline Park.

If you could change history and not ruin the future, what would you change and why?

The Holocaust would never have happened. If Hitler had been stopped, yes, it would have completely changed the Jewish world and Israel would not exist. There’s no guarantee that the course of history wouldn’t eventually take us down a path worse than what we have now but if that could have stopped the slaughter of 6 million Jews, then I’d take that chance.

What is your favorite memory?

Second grade, when life was still full of cooties and innocence and Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy, and dreams of being a wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys. I think this means I’m getting old, doesn’t it?

That'a cute...but I actually saw a pic of PG giving the peace sign...I think he was in a leather jacket.

I'll have to take a look in my massive PG pic library and see if I have something. I seem to recall there's one where he's on the red carpet at an awards show but he's in a suit and tie, not a leather jacket.

I really miss Quaker 'Ohs'. I think thats what they were called. They were like cherios, but they had a honey sort of granola in the centre.

They were really crunchy, and they didn't get soggy in milk. Soggy cereal is just a no go with me.

But they stopped carrying it locally. Years ago. I don't eat cereal on a regular basis, but that stuff was good.

I love memes too! And I don't eat cereal because I can't stand soggy. Hmm, I just might have to see if I can find Quaker 'Ohs' around here. I know I've seen them at some point.

I have to agree with your comment about the reason you like Brass is because of PG. Me too. There's something about him I can't quite articulate. It's like all these qualities that appeal to me encapsulated into one person.

I can't wait for the NFL season to start but I can't wait for the NHL season to start more. Unfortunately, they're both about the same time.
