bunchofgrapes: (Brass - Don't fuck with Brass)

Am pissed and not for reasons you might think. Warning. Much use of curse words ahead.

So it looks like there was going to be an arc this season that involved hairy mob guy and a cop on the take. And now it's all in the shitcan because of this fucking writers strike. No, I don't blame the writers. I blame the HMFiC's. Personally, I love the whole Vegas/mob thing and a cop on the take is bound to involve Brass. And Brass has been all broody so far this season, which makes it even better. But nooooooo! If we do get any more episodes at all, they'll probably be some namby pamby BS. Yeah, I'm pissed.

About the episode: I hate seeing anything where animals are hurt. Nick was absolutely right about animals and kids and I had a hard time feeling anything but sympathy for Tommy.

Ok, show of hands. Who besides me thought Brass was freakin' hot eating Chinese perfectly with chopsticks in front of hairy mob guy? I like whoever is behind this season. They are making the characters do more "real" stuff. And I can't recall the last time we saw Brass eat. I think it was either PMJ or Table Stakes.

Liked Brass getting in Grissom's face and telling him what he should have done with Warrick (put him in your car and take him home).

Oh, and yeah, I really wish Brass had been in on the dog fighting bust instead of Vega only because I love seeing Brass go all authoritative with a gun on the bad guy's ass.

I so want to know who the cop on the take is and yes, I agree with you, this season is going to be screwed up.

It was a hard episode to watch, since I'm such a dog lover. It makes me sick to think that they use smaller dogs as bait. How anyone can find enjoyment in dog fighting is beyond belief.

I don't really care for how they are portraying Warrick. I can't put my finger on it, but it's almost like he is too hard core.

Yes, Brass was hot and I'm hungry for Chinese food.

Yeah, I'm pissed.

Me too.

I love how you refer to that character. Btw CSI peeps, could've done without the shirtless scene in Cockroaches, k thnx.

Loved watching Brass eat. As he was munching away I could've sworn he wasn't paying that much attention to hairy mob guy.

hey, I love the fact that Brass can use chopsticks and look hot---chopsticks are NOT an easy skill, especially in front of a guy who looks like he wants to wolf it all down, carton and all!

I wanna know who's on the take, and I'm pissed along with you--all I can say is I hope it's not Vega or Vartann--if it has to be someone, let it be that asshole sheriff.

Well considering I missed the first episode to this one, I thought Id kind of missed something. Like.. where Vega suddenly came from? Im sure the first ep kind of explains that, because it was rather out of left field for me, and making me all pouty. "That should totally be Brass holding that Gun!" *Pout*

Yeah.. the chinese scene was great. In fact I was thinking of you all watching it. 'Ooh they're gonna Love that. *Grins* Liked the shirt too. I love when Brass is in blue.

But yeah.. it kind of seemed like the episode was thrown together. Again, Im basing half that opinion on missing the episode leading up to it. But it sounds from the other comments and journals that Im not alone in my thinking.

As for Warrick.. N.. you mentioned you couldn't put your finger on it. To me.. it seemed like they kind of abandoned his usual track of thinking to allow for some of the scenes. Warrick is smarter than that! Sure.. I could see him getting himself into a situation like that. They set that up well enough. But some of the stunts he pulled through the episode.. just didn't seem.. him.

My two cents..

*Is suddenly craving Chinese food*

Chinese food. I was just like OMG. . .lol! He's eating, and he was so at ease as he was doing it. That was awesomeness.

There were so many things re: Brass to love in this episode, but like you, all I could think of was that the most interesting story arc involving him in ages is going by the wayside. Which is totally freakin' typical. And it makes me want to scream.

He's the only one who can talk to Grissom like that. Not even Cath could get away with that. Hot hot hot hot hot.

I know I am a little late with this episode (I still haven't seen the whole thing yet), but I did go back and watch the Chinese food part and wow..It almost seemed like his give-a-crap meter was pegged at zero in that scene, to me anyways.

I also was kind of wishing for more interaction between Brass and Warrick, especially after what these two have been through and how they have bonded over the years. I know we weren't probably going to get that because of the investigation and Grissom is 'Ricks supervisor, but I can wish.

And, this little strike thing needs to end ASAP! It gets worse every week when I think of where they were taking this storyline (Lots more Brass???).
