I finally got my frakkin' Brass/Sofia fic titled, completed and posted: A Little Stick Therapy

Man, am I ever relieved! I issued this challenge over on the Jim Brass Fansite back in, oh, February, with a due date of April 5th, I think. This was my entry. Yeah, I'm a little late.

Now I can start back on that Brass/Annie sequel fic and my fic for the Jim Brass Vacation Ficathon over on brasslove.

I'm trying to figure out a way to maybe make this vacation ficathon fic Brass/Annie. I think I have equal love of all my Brass ships but this one is nice because it's actually canon.

I ended up reading this practically in the middle of the night last night I've been so freakin' busy lately.
So I love how you write hockey, it works really well his character. And you were very reserved with Sofia's anger, I imagine she would act just like that. Okay, your explanation for how they don't work together anymore is much better than the writers have ever come up with. This was worth the wait.

I understand the busy part. Between work and all the cat drama, I really need to clone myself.

I know it's never even been hinted at that Brass plays hockey but that's one PG thing that would easily overlap onto the character. Well, that and boxing. Brass looks like he could have boxed. I've been wanting to do a fic with hockey for a while but it never really worked out until now. And this took forever to come together. I'm really glad you thought it was worth the wait because I was cussing it up one side and down the other for a while.

Brilliant! I was unable to check my favourite websites for a while, and I come back to lots of goodies...

Including a new story by Beaujolais, always a treat! :-) Very nicely done, your Brass still rocks. I don't always buy Brass/Sofia (a lot more difficult for me to see than Brass/Cath) but this worked really well. Loved the way they act around each other, it's just subtle enough to be very believable.

And more stories in the making? Can't wait! I'm always looking forward to more well-written Brass action, and you never fail to deliver just that. Thanks!

I didn't start seeing the Brass/Sofia potential until after "I Like to Watch". Then it just hit me upside the head. Sofia getting so protective of Jim after he got shot kind of sealed it. I think Brass/Catherine has a lot better chance of actually happening onscreen, especially while GSR is around, but the Brass/Sofia pairing really works because of all the history these two have. Then again, how awesome would it be if they introduced an assistant coroner named Liv?

Have you checked out geekfiction? There are even more Brass fics over there, including a few from the Valentine's Day Smutathon that might have been too smutty to post on ff.net.
