I suspect the writers had Sofia going to Grissom because she went to him in ABRTI and was interrupted by Sara. Maybe she was trying to find that person who could listen/understand her.
That could be but unfortunately, Grissom looked as confused then as he did back in ABRTI and the whole scene fell flat. You'd think the stupid writers could have figured out that Brass was the one who listened/understood her back then but that would require the writers to remember what they did with Brass last season. Yeah, I'm very bitter.
