a. People who have been tagged must write their answers on their blog and replace any question that they dislike with a new, original question.
b. Tag eight people. Don't refuse to do that. Don't tag who tagged you.
1. What are your nicknames?
I don't have any but some people have taken to call me Grapes or Wino.
2. Would you rather die suddenly with no pain but no prep time or die with some pain but time to prepare?
Hmm, I've often thought I'd rather die suddenly but what if I have on raggedy drawers? I know I'll be dead and all but still. I'm going to say die with some pain but time to prepare. That way I can blow my savings and make sure my kitties have a good home.
3. If you're single what do you most miss about being in a relationship?
If you're in a relationship what do you most miss about being single?
Let's see, the last time I was in a relationship, I couldn't depend on him, I constantly had to give him money to keep his creditors at bay, and he gave me hives. I don't know that I miss anything about being in a relationship.
4. How many colors are you wearing now?
Blue and white (2)
5. Are you an introvert or extrovert?
I am an introvert. Although people I work with often think I'm an extrovert, that amount of interaction usually leaves me exhausted by the end of the day. In social settings I tend to be very shy, especially around people I don't know but once I'm comfortable with people, I can be very outgoing. Still, it takes a fair amount of effort and by the end of it, I'm dead tired.
6. What was the last book you read?
"The Five Dysfunctions of a Team" by Patrick Lencioni. It was recommended by a co-worker and it was surprisingly good.
7. Let's play everybody's favorite game...what would you do if you won the lottery?
We were just talking about this today. I'd take the lump sum, get a lawyer and an unlisted phone number, buy Caps season tickets (really good seats on the red line), and buy a vacation home on the Oregon coast. I'd make sure my mother was taken care of, set up a trust fund for the nephew, send my best friend's kids to college. I'd happily help out friends and relatives but only if we've been in contact over the last 5 years.
8. Do you like snow?
I love snow. I get excited when it snows and I bask in its beauty. I even love to drive in it but since there are too many a-holes who equate an SUV with go fast on slick, snow-covered roads, I don't.
9. Is there anything that has made you unhappy these days?
Work. I actually like what I do and I don't mind being busy. I just hate that a few people at the top are dictating how things should work based on another part of the company that runs a completely different business model.
10. What was the last thing you ate today?
The last piece of pecan pumpkin pie.
11. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
45 minutes to an hour. It depends on how many times I get interrupted by a kitty and whether I know what I'm wearing. Mondays are the best though. It takes me all of 5 minutes.
12. What websites do you visit daily?
Yahoo mail, WashingtonPost.com, Nikki Finke/Deadline Hollywood Daily, Jim Brass Fansite, Livejournal, Facebook, fanfic.net, Washington Capitals homepage, YTDAW, Talk CSI.
13. What classes are you taking right now? And if you're not in school anymore, what's your job?
No classes; not in school. I am a controller (new job title for 2009) for two $200M operating units.
14. Do you like to clean?
I do but I don't have the time to do it properly.
15. What do you want for Christmas?
A pony.
16. What are you doing right now?
Completing this meme, watching Frasier, thinking I really need to get this done so I can go to bed.
17. Who was your childhood idol?
Probably my grandpa.
18. What would you do if you see $100 lying on the ground?
If I saw someone drop it, I'd pick it up and try to get it back to them. If I found it in a store, I'd turn it in. If I found it outside, chances are I'd leave it there.
19. What is your dream car?
When I was a kid, it was a Jaguar but now I actually think my Nissan Murano is my dream car. When I first saw it advertised on a billboard while on vacation in Santa Monica back in '03, it was love at first site. Not real crazy about the redesign though.
20. Tell me something you love about the person who tagged you.
She's an amazing woman. She's the kind of person that people gravitate towards because of all her positive energy. She also writes a pretty awesome Brass (that's a hint, btw).
I'm tagging anyone who wants to do it. If you haven't done it, I hope you will. It's fun!
