The Bitterness has Returned.

Speaking as a person who started watching CSI because of Brass, I'm thinking this could be the first season I don't buy the DVD's. I'll just download a couple of episodes off iTunes. This won't be one of them.



It was okay to watch once but that was it. I found myself actually shouting "where the fuck is Brass" at the TV when Catherine was running up to the hotel room. Yeah, yeah, I know she was hot for Keppy and all. I mean, I thought she was going to cry when Brass said her instant crush was probably dirty. But still, having her react the way she did was a little...out there.

Other crap from the episode?

Nick's hair is growing back but as it is now, the camera is not nice to his scalp. He looks like he's going chrome dome bald.

Grissom amused me in this episode. Sara backing away as he kept advancing was seriously funny. However, I have to say that WP looked much older. Being away seemed to age him. Maybe it was the facial fuzz. Oh, and it seems the cold he had in Providence carried over.

This season is such a waste of the Brass hotness. The man is seriously Fine this season. His hair has that silver thing going on, he's fit and trim and he's just bringing the sexy. But it's all for nothing. First they completely ignore PG's talent, now they ignore the sexy. I hate all the writers. All of them.

Did I mention that when I'm bitter, I say pissy things? Well, I do. I also curse a lot.

Brass, Greg, and Sara get one scene an episode, apparently. Which is awesome because they are 3 of my favorite 4 characters.

So much whatever for this, it could have been good, and it was just not.

I was thinking that if I watched this for Sara, I'd be just as pissed. She's really getting the shaft this season and she's supposed to be in a relationship! And how did this episode turn into Cath! drama? Did not see that coming.

This is an obvious observation but the writers are trying so hard to compete with Grey's (yeah, yeah, they claim they aren't) that they're putting way too much into each episode. If CSI was an hour and a half, maybe this season would be better but as it is, I feel like I'm watching a show on speed. And the CSI writers just aren't that talented to do what they're trying to do.

I have the serious love for Paul Guilfoyle so I'll keep watching but I swear, I'm going to have an ulcer and psychotic episodes before this stupid season is over.

I stopped investing in the DVDs after S4. This was an okay episode but not worthy of a second viewing. *sigh* I miss Brass.

There was some snickering involved when I saw Nicky in that pullover sweater. It didn't look good, just like the shaved head look still doesn't.

What's up with the Cath drama? Yeah they hit you over the head with the "tension" between the two of them, but the intense reaction at the motel. Whatever. And I'm not saying that just because I'd rather her with someone else.

I'm glad Grissom's back. Liev didn't have a bad run really. Some of the eps sucked, but that's hardly his fault. And he does have a nicely hairy chest.

This season sucks for Brass love. Hope he gets paid whether or not he's in the ep. Oi.

I am hoping the scarcity of Brass and Sara means that they will be heavily featured in the later part of the season. That's what I'm hoping.

I also wonder if all the Cath Drama isn't being used as a pacifier for CM so she won't throw a fit about the GSR. I understand she is a huge MH fan and also it might be a pacifier for the MH fans and Grillows shippers.

Anyway, I hope that's what it is and we'll see a more even distribution of scenes/storylines in the remaining episodes.

I thought Brass was great for the time he was on screen...he just should have been more involved.

I have to agree with what mingsmommy said in her reply--that the Cath! Drama is being used to pacify CM. Sometimes I don't mind the drama but last night it just seemed to be a result of this very rushed Keppler arc. Even my friend, who's the normal CSI fan (doesn't read boards or anything), said she didn't get Catherine's reaction. She then pointed out Grissom's total WTF look at her bursting into tears. That was my reaction as well. My other reaction was to be pissed because when Brass got shot, he sure as hell didn't get that reaction and supposedly he's a friend. I blame the writers for all the stupidity.

Mostly, I could take or leave Grissom but I was actually glad to see him back.

This makes so much sense, I've got a bruise where I smacked my forehead. And it would account for why CM's suddenly waving the GSR flag. Can we bribe Ann Donohue to come back to Vegas? I'll toss in $100.

There are so many things that are ticking me off about this show but one of them is the fact that in previous seasons, Brass was more involved. Sure Catherine might run up to the hotel room because she wasn't thinking with her brain, but Brass would be right there to rip her a new one when it was over. Kinda like he did with Sara back in "Play with Fire".

I have to admit that I'm not all that invested in Grissom so I don't really care who he works with as long as Brass is in the episode. However, I will say that I'm primarily a Brass/Catherine shipper so I would like to see Brass working with Catherine more often. I would have loved for Brass to have come running up those stairs behind Catherine and pull her butt away from the door then give her what for. Instead we got Grissom suddenly show up (where'd he come from, anyway) and give her a WTF look (my friend's observation) when she started bawling. Hell, Brass didn't get that kind of reaction from her when he got shot and supposedly he's a friend she's known a lot longer. Don't get me wrong. I don't blame MH in any way. She gave a great performance last night. Nope, I totally blame the writers.

And while I'm on a rant, I have to add that now I'm worried that with Warrick's marriage obviously going south, they're going to revisit Catherine/Warrick.

Hmm, have you tried downloading the program again? Then again, I'm not exactly computer savvy... Now you got me thinking. I use IE quite a bit and it makes me wonder if that's the cause of my repeated IM shutdowns.

Yah, the thought that Cath didn't shed any tears for Brass flashed through my mind, too. I really don't like that thought though. And yes, the whole CM/MH dynamic makes absolute sense.

I have to think there's going to be a Brass ep sometime this season. I have a fear, but I won't voice it for fear of it coming true.
