I think it is great you go out with your dad or your dad and stepmom. I like when my dad and I can just go to a bookstore or watch something alone together, it's much more relaxing than when my mom and sister are around.
I also had problems going to the new version of True Grit, but it was a decent version of that story. Although I think I still like the Wayne version more.
