Fallen Idols

Brass notes on tonight's episode and a few extras.

Brass got some of his snark back so I don't have much to bitch about for once--although I'm still bitter about the lack of continuity and the fact that he was supposed to have a line to Megan that they gave to Nick. That would have counted as a wee bit of continuity but nope.

First off, what is it about Jim and women these days? The guy's a flirt and the women are flirting back. First there was the woman in "Toe Tags" and now Sheila's mom. Jim knows how to punch machines. Little personal things like knowing the soda machine doesn't work and how to get a free soda is great stuff. See, I don't ask for much, really.

Jim at an autopsy? Um, let's see, seven seasons and yes, that's a first. I think he's only been in the morgue maybe three times prior to this.

And then to think maybe he was somehow responsible? Squee! Too bad they cut the bit with Jim giving CPR. And it would have been nice to see his reaction to finding out Sheila was dead. In his office. And him not liking to touch dead bodies. Wonder if the writers remember that?

"Now I know why I don't like modern art". Welcome back, Jim! And can I just say how much I love it when he runs around with his gun out? Rawr!

A couple of side notes: Yay for Nick's hair growing back and Yay for no mention about Warrick getting divorced. I really don't want him available for the potential Cath hook-up because I'm still holding out for Brass in a towel in her bedroom at the end of the season.

Now I know all the Grissom/Sara fans are wetting their pants right about now but if I were a casual viewer, I'd be all WTF about that end scene. I mean, I thought it was okay and all but the writers could have at least given some sort of set up to it. Otherwise, I'm just going WTF? It seemed so...left field.

Well you know there's no way to work in a GSR scene very subtly these days. Especially if they want to take it up a notch. It's probably going to be all WTF from here on out. Sorry.

Brass was awesome in the epi. I liked it. As for Jim at an autopsy. . .well, it was his office, after all. I think I'd feel a little guilt too. The story was so-so. I don't really care much for high school students.

Lots of Jim tonight. At first, I thought they weren't going to let him out of the building, but it was nice to see him in the final search leading the way. He was so in charge. You're right, he was hot!! I was shocked to see Jim in the morgue, but I thought he looked damn good in the cover jacket. Since I've been known to hit a few pop machines, loved seeing him do it. After the final scene, I looked at my husband and said, what the hell did that have to do with tonight's episode? I thought it was stupid and very forced.

Got home from Florida last night. It was cold there the entire time. I can be such a loser, at times.

Idyllic Falling

I've not seen this episode, but agree that holding out for a towel scene is well worth a pitch. We will discover what the power of thought can do!

Forget continuity. It doesn't exist in real life, so why should it exist in fiction?

So many strange snippets have cropped up in episodes I've watched which link directly to stuff I've already written beforehand. There is definitely something occult about CSI. Which means that we can manipulate the future content just by gathering our collective wishes, and it seems pretty certain that we're all on roughly the same track. So for an exercise in positive sorcery, we couldn't really have a better subject, now could we?

I love, love, LOVE flirty Brass. He is just too cool. I love him like this. I want to see him with someone so much.

I pretty much equate my GSRism and TPTB with an emotionally abusive relationship on good days and on not as good days, the Stockholm syndrome. They have strung me along all these years teasing me, only giving me crumbs to subsit on. So, a look is a repast, a word is a feast, a touch is a bacchanal...any tender mercies from their hands are a cause for jubilation. It is sick, it is sad and it is what I live for.

Do I agree the scene came out of left field? Yep. Do I care? Nope. Am I a squeeing, idiot fangirl? You betcha! ;)

I was so excited about a little flirty Brass. So glad I didn't imagine it. He was so cute when he punched the coke machine. And in the lab coat...

I am a diehard GSR fan and I was like WTF? It did appear to be stuck on the end. But considering what we normally get - it was pretty damned amazing. And was it only 19 seconds - I swear I counted 20! LOL.

I had heard the same thing about her shaving him. It would be nice if they gave us a little more on the DVD's but I'm not holding my breath. It would also be nice if they could hook Brass up with someone. He needs a woman. Anyway, I'm not complaining about anything in last night's episode. Ain't life grand?!

Brass shipments

Since becoming a Brassic, I have noticed the copious amounts of shipping that Brass enjoys at a far more hectic pace than other cast members. I put this down to the "if I can, I will" syndrome. He knows he can do it, with blonde leggy women, chair legs, bits of evidence, even men. So he does. I love him more for it. Respec', man. I just wish, like you, that CBS would ship him into a bath towel. Keep praying. xx

Are you prepared for your journal to be spammed?

The worst thing about this episode was the hospital 15" screen and commercials. I begged them to let me go home last Thursday instead of Friday.

The best thing was definitely the coke machine. Classic Brass. And can I just say that the lab coat with shirt and tie underneath gave the man a look that no one has ever pulled off in that room before.

I cannot believe that tonight's is a repeat. I could really do with a decent JB fix right now. Of course it's doubtful I'd get that from a new ep...
