It's snowing!

I am so happy right now that words almost fail me. It's snowing! And these are some of the biggest snowflakes I have ever seen in my life. I mean ginormous! I love how quiet it is when it snows and how beautiful and calm everything appears. Snow can make ugly look pretty.

Oh, and what's the best thing to accompany a snow storm, you ask? KFC's hot wings. Seriously. I actually got into my car and went out in this just because I had to have them. And yes, the snow is beyond beautiful but it's also slicker than snot. I have tickets to the Caps game tonight but I will happily watch the game from the toasty comfort of my home rather than risk life and car. I could stare out the window all day--now that I'm back home of course.

Falling snow is about the only thing around here that actually muffles the Beltway. :P

I expect that's a very enjoyable silence--for the hour or so that it lasts. ;-)

Oh, and while I'm thinking of it, I spoke to my co-worker friend, Colleen, and she spoke to her neighbor about your kitty. Colleen said the neighbor really had to think long and hard about taking the kitty but in the end, she had to say no only because she has an old kitty and she was worried about how old kitty would react to new kitty. She did say though that if something happened to old kitty and your kitty still needs a home, she'd be interested. I hope all of this doesn't matter because someone gave your kitty a home.

Oh, thank you! No, nothing on the Hal front just yet, though my mother's trying to put me in touch with a rescue group.
