When I started playing softball back in the early 70's, my coach told us to find a favorite player and watch how he played the game. So who was the player I latched on to? Tony Perez. Then around 1976, when he left the Reds, I discovered Carl Yastrzemski and the Boston Red Sox. But there for a while, I was a huge Reds fan.
It has to be hard on both you and Tug going from one extreme to the other. Would have been nice if you could have eased into it with a job in say, Wyoming or Colorado. I know at some point the golf cart police show up to take old people to Florida (or Arizona, if you're on the West Coast) but I can't imagine ever being at a point in my life where I would willingly live there.
