Wow, it’s just way cool to know you found this story, gave it a read and even better, liked it!
I lurk and sometime's post at YTDAW (I'm csiwatcher there)and your banner/sig is where I got the link for this LJ.
I’m with ya in your assessment of Jim too. Ever since I saw him with that little girl in "Unfriendly Skies", I knew he was really a big ol’ marshmallow on the inside. And a guy who got burned by his ex-wife as bad as he did has got to have some pretty deep emotional scars.
So true! I love the scene at the end of "Ellie". PG is almost as good as George Eads in the crying department!! lol! I could watch the end of ABRTI over and over too. I love how emotional it is with Officer Bell's wife comforting Brass and he can't keep it together. Wonderful! I have often thought of writing a fic taking up where that left off. I'll have to tell you about it sometime.(Don't want to take up too much room on your LJ) Maybe you could take my idea and run with it!
1) I’m really a Brass/Catherine shipper at heart but after seeing Brass and Sofia in "I Like to Watch", I got a major shippy vibe from them that just got stronger as the season progressed. The reference to Brass and Catherine in a previous relationship was only in the context of this fic however, if you’re interested in reading Brass/Catherine, I do have a few fics posted here
I have never seen "I Like To Watch". I know, I know. What kind of CSI fan am I anyway??? lol! ABRTI got me, like I said before. They showed so much compassion for each other. And I can really see a Brass/Catherine relationship, too. I read your story, "Splinters". Very good! You have a very good grasp on his character. And, I had read some of your stories on ff.net before and didn't know that was you.
2) I’ve gotten many requests for a sequel but I sort of want to see how TPTB handle Brass’s return. Still, I do love h/c and it would be fun to write his recovery.
I understand wanting to wait. The way CSI is with continuity, they will probably forget he was even injured! :) H/c is good but my favorite is romance. I am such a sucker for a good romance. When I write, I always seem to end up with fluff. I have a WIP that I am trying to keep angsty and it deals with a CD so, of course, that will be treated like the plague! It is GSR with Brass as a lead character, especially later on. I'm taking up too much room on your LJ! I should bring this to a close.
I loved the stories I read and I will keep watch for more. Take care and spread the Brass love!! :)
